Boon isn't a trained chef but you can say cooking is in his blood! With a Hainanese Chef Grandfather and a Mother who loves to cook, it was inevitable that he quit his former job with a multi-national company and take the plunge into the food business after a year of experimenting and perfecting his Signature recipe Siew Yok. An unsuccessful stint led Boon to sell his Siew Yok at Night Market, then to selling economy rice back in his hometown, Ipoh, followed by coming to KL to launch this very new and improved restaurant, Boon Signature Roast Pork with 2 former customers turned into partners!'
